Project Summary
The client wanted a floor that felt earthy and tactile, with a matte finish that didn’t mask the wood’s natural colour. We used 50 x 10 mm Merbau, known for its deep reddish-brown hue and dense grain. The blocks were laid across the entire ground floor for a continuous, textural effect. To preserve the richness of the timber while allowing the surface to feel untreated, we primed the floor with Bona Prime Intense—enhancing the natural depth and tone. The final coat of Bona Traffic HD Raw gave the surface a soft, ultra-matte finish with exceptional durability, ideal for day-to-day living.
